Sister Monica Day

September 10, 2013

Congratulations Sister Monica, today is your day! St. Lucy’s students, faculty, and staff celebrated Sr. Monica’s 34 years of service to the school in a very Seussical way. The surprise celebration began in the Gym with a modified rendition of “Oh the Places You’ll Go,” read by members of the A.S.B. “Oh the Places You’ve Been!” was the Seussical tale of Sr. Monica’s journey from her years as a young girl growing up in Baldwin Park (did you know that she is a graduate of Pomona Catholic?) to her college adventures, and then life at St. Lucy’s as teacher, then administrator. At the conclusion of the rally, the whimsical surprises continued when students, faculty, and staff joined together in the amphitheater for cake, served by the Development Office and volunteer parents.
