Prospective Student Open House
St. Lucy’s faculty, staff, and approximately 200 current students hosted an Open House on Sunday, November 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All academic departments and activities were represented in the amphitheater, Ms. Giuliucci and an alumna from the class of 2003 provided inspirational speeches, Regent Ambassadors offered personalized campus tours, and demonstrations and performances by various groups were scheduled throughout the early afternoon. Our school community welcomed 195 prospective families and close to 600 people, which is a significant increase from last year’s 170 families. These prospective students currently attend 76 different junior highs (50 of which are private/parochial). We also collected 72 new student applications that day and received over 30 sign-ups for remaining Shadow Visits.
One 8th grade mom from Holy Name of Mary in San Dimas shared,
"When the day was done and over, I kept telling our tour guide, "Where do I sign up?" With all the fun activities, elective classes, and various courses the girls can take here, I felt like this is the perfect place my daughter can spend the next four years at. I thank all of the volunteers, staff and students that put this event together, to make this day an absolute informative, structured, and well rounded day for all involved."
