National Letter of Intent
Congratulations to Caroline Smith, Rachel Stock and Arden Davis for signing their National Letter of Intent! Caroline Smith will be attending West Point Academy for the sport of Softball. Rachel Stock will be attending Mercyhurst University for the sport of Water Polo and Arden Davis will be attending the University of California, Irvine for the sport of Volleyball.

Regents Volleyball Enjoys Back-to-Back Victories
St. Lucy's Regents volleyball team played the Lancers of La Salle, Pasadena, in the CIF Southern Section 2AA Finals at Cypress College in Cypress on Friday November 18, 2011. St. Lucy's dominated their opponent to claim a repeat championship, the first "back-to-back" title for St. Lucy's.
The volleyball team finished with a record of 29-7 with an 8-2 Sierra League record, earning a California Division II state ranking of #3 and a California Southern Section 2AA rank of #1.
Several Regents received acclaim for their outstanding performance and team play. Senior Opposite Jasmine Warmington was named CIF-SS Division 2AA Player of the Year; senior Setter Jackie Macy was named Inland Valley Player of the Year and All-CIF first-team allleague honors while senior Libero Arianna Sifuentes gained All-CIF first-team all-league honors. Junior OH Vanessa Caustrita received All-CIF third-team honors. Coach Sean Douglas was named Inland Valley Girls Volleyball Coach of the Year for the second year. Coach Douglas led the team to a second consecutive CIF-SS Division 2AA championship within four years in which St. Lucy's received Sierra League titles.

Michelle was selected St. Mary's College Student Athlete of the Week, February 13, 2012.
MORAGA, Calif. - Senior Michelle Mounts was named this week's SMC Student-Athlete of the Week after an outstanding weekend at the Hotel Encanto Invitational in Las Cruces, N.M.
The Glendora, Calif. native hit .688 (11-for-16) over the weekend, including six doubles, a home run, six RBI and eight runs scored to give her a 1.250 slugging percentage. The senior also earned three walks and was hit by a pitch to give her a .750 on base percentage.
Mounts had a few spectacular games over weekend, including a 3-for-4 game against UTEP on Friday with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored. In two games combined on Saturday, Mounts went 5-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, three RBI, two runs scored and two walks.
The Gaels will take the weekend off before returning to the field next week when they host the PCSC CrossOver Tournament from February 24-26. Saint Mary's will host a total of 12 games over the three-day period at Cottrell Field, while the Gaels will play in a total of four games during the weekend against Northern Colorado (twice), Seattle, and Portland State.
