January 10, 2013
Sixth Shadow Visit!

On Thursday, January 10, 2013, twenty five students from sixteen different private and public junior highs attended a St. Lucy’s Morning Shadow Visit. The 8th graders were hosted by four seniors (Rebecca Frankeburger, Zayi Reyes, Brittney Seman, and Heather Seman) and four juniors (Gabriella Butler and Tayler RV). They received a tour of the campus, met teachers and students, and enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. This concludes the formal 8th grade Shadow Visits for the current school year. A total of 232 prospective students have attended one of the six visits this year!

Fifth Shadow Visit!

On Thursday, December 6, 2012, thirty nine students from eighteen different private and public junior highs attended a St. Lucy’s Morning Shadow Visit. The 8th graders were hosted by seven seniors (Gisele Bitar, Ariana Garcia, Zayi Reyes, Brittney Seman, Heather Seman, Priscilla Torres, and Brittany Young) and four juniors (Gabby Butler, Madison Gilmartin, Rebecca Graffam, and Tayler RV). They received a tour of the campus, met teachers and students, and enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. The girls even learned the infamous freshmen cheer!

Fourth Shadow Visit!

On Wednesday, November 28, 2012, forty-two students from twenty different private and public junior highs attended a St. Lucy’s Afternoon Shadow Visit. The 8th graders were hosted by seven seniors (Makenna Baugus, Gisele Bitar, Stephanie Malki, Julia Paniagua, Zayi Reyes, Camille Schwan, and Heather Seman) and seven juniors (Anneliese Bals, Ifeoma Ekeomodi, Alicia Esquivel, Nicole Lopez, Tayler RV, Cassidy San Filippo, and Alexis Tetreault). They received a tour of the campus, met teachers and students, and enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. We were also excited to learn that four of these eighth graders’ parents are St. Lucy’s alumnae!

 

October 30, 2012
Third Shadow Visit

On Tuesday, October 30, 2012, thirty-four students from thirteen different private and public junior highs attended a St. Lucy’s Afternoon Shadow Visit. The 8th graders were hosted by six seniors (Ariana Garcia, Andrea Malki, Zayi Reyes, Camille Schwan, Brittney Seman, and Heather Seman) and four juniors (Gabriella Butler, Ashley Contreras, Malia McDowell, and Rachel Tostado). They received a tour of the campus, met teachers and students, and enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. The visit concluded in the Regent Resource Center with a Parent Q & A Session where families met the Administration, Dean of Curriculum, Activities Director, and the Director of Public Relations and Enrollment. When the visit concluded, 8th graders exchanged phone numbers to keep in contact with their potential future classmates.

Second Shadow Visit Held on a Rally Day!

On Wednesday, October 3, 2012, sixty-four 8th grade girls from twenty-one different private and public junior highs attended a St. Lucy’s Shadow Visit. The 8th graders were hosted by ten seniors (Makenna Baugus, Zayi Reyes, Megan Schaefer, Camille Schwan, Brittney Seman, Heather Seman, Allison Smith, Priscilla Torres, Brittany Young, and Natalie Zendejas). They received a tour of the campus, met teachers and students, participated in a school rally, and enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. The visit concluded in the Regent Resource Center with a Parent Q & A Session where families met the Administration, Dean of Curriculum, Athletic Director, and the Director of Public Relations and Enrollment. This was the first time we held a Shadow Visit during a school rally. Final verdict… success!

First 8th Grade Shadow Visit of the School Year is a Success!

On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, twenty-nine 8th grade girls from eleven different private and public junior highs attended a St. Lucy’s Shadow Visit to experience firsthand what it is like to be a St. Lucy’s Regent. The 8th graders were hosted by four seniors (Rebecca Frankeberger, Zayi Reyes, Brittney Seman, Heather Seman) and three juniors (Madison Gilmartin, Tayler ReviereVerninas, Beth Robbins). They received a tour of the campus, met teachers and students, and enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. The visit concluded in the Regent Resource Center with a Parent Q & A Session where families met the Administration, Dean of Curriculum, Athletic Director, and the Director of Public Relations and Enrollment. We look forward to the remaining five Shadow Visits!
